Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of hellopages.com.au (the “Site”) and the services provided by Hello Pages (“Hello Pages”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By using the Site, creating an account, claiming a listing, or purchasing a plan, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.

Hello Pages is an Australian business directory. We list businesses across Melbourne (and over time, other parts of Australia), searchable by category and suburb, so people can find the right business fast.

Unclaimed listings 
Hello Pages adds businesses to the directory using publicly available information – business name, address, phone number, and category – without needing the business’s consent to create the listing. This listing is free and goes live automatically. It represents basic, publicly sourced information only and is not an endorsement by Hello Pages, nor confirmation that the details are current.

Claiming a listing
If you’re the owner or an authorised representative of a listed business, you can claim your listing by creating an account and submitting a claim. We manually review claims and aim to approve or reject them within 1-2 business days. We may ask for further information to verify you’re entitled to manage the listing, and we may reject a claim – see section 8.

Accuracy of unclaimed listings
We aim for accuracy but can’t guarantee that unclaimed listing details are current or correct, since they haven’t been confirmed by the business. If you spot incorrect details on any listing, you can flag it using the **Report this listing** link.

• You need an account to claim a listing, leave a review, or manage a paid plan.
• You’re responsible for keeping your account details and password secure, and for anything that happens under your account.
• You must give accurate information when creating an account or claiming a listing.
• We can suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms.

Hello Pages offers the following plans:

Free (unclaimed) $0
Business name, address, phone number, website link

Verified $9.99/year
Everything in Free, plus a verified badge and website link 

Pro $79/year
Everything in Verified, plus business description, opening hours, photos, logo, map listing, social media links, and reviews

Premium $149/year 
Everything in Pro, plus replying to reviews, an embeddable rating badge, multiple franchise/location listings, and customer deals & discounts

Full feature-by-plan details are on our Pricing Page. We may change plan pricing or inclusions from time to time – changes won’t affect a plan you’ve already paid for until it’s due for renewal.

• Payments are processed through GetPaid, our checkout and invoicing system, using Stripe as the payment gateway.
• We don’t see or store your full card details – these are collected and processed directly by Stripe. See our Privacy Policy for details.
• Verified, Pro and Premium plans are billed annually and renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Prices are in Australian dollars and do not include GST.

• Verified, Pro and Premium listing plans can be cancelled at any time. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period – we don’t provide partial refunds for the remainder of a paid period.
• Outside of that, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at support@hellopages.com.au within 14 days of purchase if there’s an issue.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t lawfully be excluded.

A listing on Hello Pages must have:

• The correct, current business name, not a keyword-stuffed version
• A real street address or clearly defined service area
• A working phone number
• An accurate primary category (and relevant secondary categories, where genuinely applicable)
• On paid plans, a description that’s actually about the business – plain English, no ALL CAPS for emphasis, no competitor names, and no unverifiable pricing claims (e.g. “cheapest in Melbourne”)

We may edit, reject, or remove content that doesn’t meet these standards.

We won’t list, and will remove if discovered:

• Adult, NSFW, or sexually explicit businesses
• Businesses operating illegally or without required licensing
• Fake listings for businesses that don’t exist
• Duplicate listings for the same business

A listing (or a claim) may also be rejected or removed after approval if:

• We can’t verify the business exists
• There’s already a claimed or duplicate account for the listing
• The details on the account don’t match the listing
• A verified business is found to be fraudulent or inactive
• A listing is reported and confirmed as misleading
• The business has permanently closed (in which case we may mark it closed rather than delete it)

If we reject or remove a claim or listing, we’ll tell you why and give you a way to contact us about it.

Reviews are a feature of Pro and Premium listings.

Reviews must be genuine, based on real experience with the business, and not defamatory, fraudulent, or posted by the business about itself.

We can remove a review that breaches these Terms or that we reasonably believe is fake or manipulated.

Premium businesses can reply to reviews. Replies must be relevant and can’t include abusive or defamatory content.

You agree not to:

• Submit false information when creating an account or claiming a listing
• Post fake reviews, or manipulate reviews for or against a business
• Scrape, copy, or republish the directory’s data in bulk without our permission
• Use the Site to send spam or unsolicited marketing
• Attempt to interfere with the Site’s security or normal operation

The Hello Pages name, logo, website design, and directory compilation are owned by us or our licensors. Businesses retain ownership of the content they upload (descriptions, photos, logos) but grant us a licence to display it on Hello Pages as part of their listing.

Listings may link to a business’s own website or social media. We’re not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any site outside hellopages.com.au.

To the extent permitted by law:

• Hello Pages is provided on an “as is” basis. We don’t guarantee the directory is error-free, uninterrupted, or that any listing (claimed or unclaimed) is fully accurate or current.
• We’re not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on listing information, or from dealings between you and a business found through Hello Pages.
• We’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

This doesn’t affect any consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t be excluded by contract.

We can suspend or terminate your account or a listing’s claimed status if you breach these Terms. You can close your account at any time by contacting support@hellopages.com.au. Closing an account doesn’t automatically remove the underlying business listing from the directory, which may revert to unclaimed status.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use Hello Pages after an update means you accept the changes.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
